Fire-Fighting Foam Delivery System
A fixed piping system laid on the floating roof that delivers fire-fighting foam to the rim seal area and to any other designated point on the roof. It connects to the foam supply at the tank shell through a flexible or articulated section that follows the roof, and distributes the foam uniformly around the circumference so that a rim-seal fire is extinguished at its source. It is normally designed and supplied together with the rim seal and the foam dam as one integrated fire-protection package.
