Internal Floating Roof

Internal Floating Roofs (IFRs) are installed inside fixed-roof storage tanks and float directly on the stored liquid, rising and falling with the liquid level. By covering the liquid surface, they reduce vapour space and help minimise VOC evaporation and emissions.

Our internal floating roof solutions include Pontoon Type and Full Contact Floating Roofs, with aluminium, stainless steel and hybrid construction options to suit different storage requirements.

For enhanced emission control, our IFR systems can be equipped with a range of primary and secondary sealing systems, including liquid-mounted foam log seals, mechanical shoe seals, compression plate seals and wiper seals.

Our Internal Floating Roof Solutions

Pontoon Type Internal Floating Roof
A modular and lightweight solution designed for fast installation through a standard tank manhole, without shell cutting or site welding.

Full Contact Floating Roof
A low-profile roof designed for continuous contact with the stored liquid, minimising vapour space and providing high emission-control performance.

Internal Floating Roof Sealing
A range of primary and secondary sealing systems designed to maintain effective sealing around the tank rim and further reduce vapour emissions.
