Floating Roof Drain System
A rainwater drainage system for external floating roof tanks. Rainwater collected on the roof runs into a sump and then through articulated pipe, hose or swivel-joint assemblies down to a drain valve at the tank shell. The system must follow the roof through its full travel without leaking and is designed with a continuous fall so that water drains freely and without sediment build-up. Articulated-pipe (swivel-joint or flexible-joint) and flexible-hose types are available, with or without a check valve.
Advantage:
1. Prevents the floating roof from sinking under accumulated rain or snow - a critical safety function.
2. The articulated-pipe design gives a continuous fall, free water flow and no low points where sediment can collect.
3. Swivel-joint construction requires no lubrication and is maintenance-free in submersible service.
4. Side plates redistribute the load around the hose and minimise the risk of hose failure.
5. 100% aromatic-resistant materials, compatible with the full range of stored products.
6. Engineered to fit within the narrow corridor between sump and shell nozzle, so it does not interfere with tank internals.
