Swivel Joint

A rotating pipe joint used in floating roof drain systems and floating suction lines. It allows the pipe string to articulate freely as the roof rises and falls, while keeping the joint both liquid-tight and vapour-tight. It is manufactured in cast or ductile iron or steel with corrosion-resistant bearings, and is available in sizes from 2 inch to 40 inch with flanged or threaded ends.

Advantage:
1. Enables the drain or suction line to follow the full roof travel without hose fatigue or kinking.
2. Rugged cast or ductile-iron body with corrosion-resistant bearings for long submersible service.
3. Maintains a leak-tight joint under continuous articulation and cyclic pressure.
4. Low operating torque, so it imposes only a small additional load on the floating roof.
5. Standard sizes from 2 inch to 40 inch, with flanged or threaded ends to suit the pipe system.
6. Field-proven design requiring minimal maintenance over the life of the tank.
